HINDI NA PWEDE AND PWEDE NA. ~President Benigno C. Aquino III, the 15th president of the Republic of the Philippines
Today, the 30th day of June year 2010, is the day for the Filipinos to witness History as the inauguration ceremony of the 15th president of the Republic of the Philippines, together with the Vice-President, happens. My mother woke me up because she did not want me to miss this very important event in the country. This is my very first time to witness a formal inaugural rites and I am very overwhelmed to have watched it.
It started with former president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s departure honors. she was being fetched by Pres. Aquino in the Malacanang Palace and went together to Quirino Grandstand to do the said honors. it all went well, and PGMA had her final walk as the President of the Philippines and then left the Grandstand. Vice President Jejomar Binay also came to the Grandstand riding the famous “E-Jeep.”
The Philippine National Anthem was sang by Charice Pempengco, and she was able to sing it well. and some Filipino artists also sung heartwarming songs for the country. Shortly, the oath-taking of the president and vice-president was done and Pres. Aquino gave his inaugural speech, one of the ceremony’s highlights.
President Aquino used this opportunity to tell the Filipinos all his plans and promises. He expressed his gratitude, his goals and commitment to the country being it president.
“ilalaan ko ang aking buhay para siguraduhin na ang demokrasya ay magiging kapaki-pakinabang sa bawat isa.”
“ito naman ang simula ng aking kalbaryo.”
“there will be no reconciliation without justice.”
“mula ngayon, hindi na pwede ang pwede na.”
“walang lamangan, walang padrino at walang pagnanakaw. walang wang-wang, walang counter flow and walang tong.”
“kung kelan tayo nanalo, ngayon pa ba tayo susuko? kayo ang boss ko.”
~President Benigno C. Aquino III, Inaugural Speech
All the lines above were said confidently by our President. All we have to do is to take them all positively. There is no point of being negative. Let us give Pres. Aquino the chance to keep all his promises, because the new administration deserves that. Let us hope for change, for a better change and never forget to pray. because the Philippines, just like a kite, needs a wind to guide it and there’s no better guide than God.
History unfolds. The Aquino Legacy is once again witnessed.
